Creating security and prosperity in the UK

In 2021, Lockheed Martin's investments in the UK increased by over 70% compared to 2020, from £1.4bn to £2.4bn. This investment supports an average of 750 companies and over 28,000 jobs.

Response to Defence Space Strategy

On behalf of Team Athena, we responded to the Ministry of Defence's Defence Space Strategy. We also participated in the Minister for Export's visit to Harwell - discussing the potential for inward investment to grow UK satellite manufacturing and provide new export opportunities. 

Prime Minister visits Military Flying Training System at RAF Valley

The Prime Minister and Virginia Crosbie MP visited RAF Valley to see the UK's Military Flying Training System (MFTS). Operated under a joint venture between Lockheed Martin and Babcock, MFTS recently received £175m to increase training capacity and install new facilities.

British Army's intent to procure Precision Strike Missile

The British Army has confirmed its intent to begin the process for entering into an agreement on PrSM. This was announced during the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the U.S. Army to increase interoperability of indirect fire capabilities.

RAFA Rides 2022

'RAFA Rides' is the Royal Air Force Association's annual cycling event, taking place on the road in Leicestershire and around the world virtually.
